The atmosphere was electric on December 1, 2018, as buyers, breeders, and trainers gathered for the prestigious NRHA Markel Select Yearling Sale. Among the 94 elite yearlings consigned, one chestnut filly - Hip #3074 - immediately stood out the moment she stepped into the ring.

Krista Schulman Secures Hip #3074
When the bidding began, interest was immediate. The filly’s pedigree, conformation, and confident demeanor drew attention from multiple corners of the arena, but it was Krista Schulman of Diamond Creek Ranch who ultimately earned the final bid when the gavel came down.
“When we came into this sale, we of course had our eyes on a few prospects,” Krista shared after the purchase. “But this little filly just spoke to me. When she came in the ring, she had this presence that made her impossible to ignore.”
She continued, “Sometimes you look at a young horse and you just know. I can’t wait to see what she grows into.”
